Performed for the determination of Compressive strength of Concrete.
Cubes can be tested for 3 days, 7 days and 28 days. We also offer storing & curing facilities at our laboratory for casted cubes.

Gayatri Geotechnic Research offers Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services to evaluate the properties of a material, component or structure without compromising the structural integrity or changing the properties of the tested member. Following NDT Services are offered:
The rebound hammer method provides a convenient and rapid indication of the compressive strength of concrete by means of establishing a suitable correlation between the rebound index and the compressive strength of concrete.
This test is conducted by passing a pulse of ultrasonic through concrete to be tested and measuring the time taken by pulse to get through the structure. Higher velocities indicate good quality and continuity of the material, while slower velocities may indicate concrete with many cracks or voids.
Concrete carbonation causes embedded steel reinforcements to corrode, with the resulting expansion cracking and weakening the concrete. The concrete specimen is sprayed with an indicator solution (phenolphthalein) and the resulting color indicates the level of carbonation.
Half cell potential measurements involve measuring the potential of an embedded reinforcing bar relative to a reference half cell potential placed on the concrete surface, to help determine the corrosion of reinforcement steel.
If other NDT methods do not provide satisfactory results, concrete cores of required sizes can be extracted from the testing areas by core cutter machines, which shall then be tested in the laboratory for further analysis.
Used to determine the cover, i.e., the least distance between the surface of embedded reinforcement and the outer surface of the concrete.
Performed to determine the ultimate bearing capacity of the soil and the probable settlement under a given load. This test is very popular for the selection and design of the shallow foundation. Pile Integrity Testing is a qualitative evaluation of the physical dimensions, continuity of a pile, and consistency of the pile material. Forms an integral and crucial testing parameter in the construction of large scale projects.
DCPT is carried out to determine the resistance value of the cone against the soil that helps in determining different mechanical properties of soil such as strength, bearing capacity, and so on.
SCPT involves the penetration of a cone inside the ground and measures the cone resistance, friction resistance, friction ratio and pore water pressure to determine the soil type, density, in-situ stress conditions & shear parameters of the soil.
The ERT method is an electrical testing method where current is induced in the ground using two current electrodes. The electrical potential drop is then read using two other electrodes. This test is useful to determine the potential for corrosion of pipes and other underground facilities to be constructed in the sub-surface.
